This adaptation by director James Foley, of David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize-winning play about a quartet of real estate shysters futilely searching for the next sale, suffered inevitable comparisons to well-regarded stage productions. Time, though, has added luster to Foley's masterful neo-noir treatment, and it was long overdue for a DVD edition as special as this one. Foley delivers a feature-long commentary track, while Alec Baldwin and Alan Arkin offer revealing scene-specific comments. There's also a tribute to Jack Lemmon, which includes some wonderful Lemmon interview clips. But let's be honest: A significant reason to own this disc is to watch Alec Baldwin boast, "This watch is worth more than your car," over and over again.
